When there is a atsterisk * in front of the bonus, the bonus itself can not be withdrawn. This doesn't mean it's worthless. You only have to play differently. If, like usuall, you use a small bet, you can't really win, because the bonus can't be cashed out. There are different ways how you can still use the bonus. I'll show you two of them on the following example: Deposit 100 - Bonus *200 - Wager 1200
You start playing the wagering requirement as normal. When you have finished (your balance is about 300), you start playing with high bets (50$ or more) until you reach the 600$ balance. The chance of loosing all is about 50,5%. With a chance of 49,5% you'll reach the 600$ and have just won 300$!
Since it is very annoying loosing all the money after having played a few hundred games with low bets, I play these bonuses like this:
I use the high bets first. When I loose all (deposit and bonus), at least I haven't wasted my time. When I reach the 600$, I start playing small bets until I meet the wagering reqirement (if I haven't already met).
For the beginner this may sound very risky, that's why only experienced players should play these kinds of bonuses. Personally, I like them very much. They are usually a lot higher than normal bonuses and when you do the same thing with many different casinos, the risk isn't too high in the whole.
For the rating in my list, they count 50% of a normal bonus.
